Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostic Testing
Diagnostic treatments aid in developing an accurate treatment plan, personalized to each patient. Central Carolina Cardiology utilizes a variety of diagnostic tests to help determine the cardiac condition of the patient. This includes:
- Consultation: complete history and physical examiniation
- Stress testing
- Holter monitoring
- Arterial and venous ultrasound
- Ankle brachial index
- Cardiac CT (hospital only)
- Cardiac MRI (hospital only)
Upon completion of the necessary diagnostic testing, our physicians will then work with the referring physician to determine the best possible course of treatment. Often we can help our patients develop a diet and exercise routine that will prevent potential cardiac problems in the future. Our invasive and non-invasive procedures for the treatment of cardiac conditions may include:
- Medical therapy
- Cardiac catheterization
- Stent placement
- Coronary intervention
- Peripheral vascular intervention
- Cardiac rhythm management including:
- Implantable monitor
- Permanent pacemaker
- Defibrillator and biventricular pacemaker therapy
